RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DECISION TO BUY COSMETICS TO CONFIDENCE WITH WOMEN THAT WORK AS BEAUTY CAREER ADVISOR

Abstract


In this study, the career woman who works as a
beauty advisor suggests that the decision to buy cosmetics
that are not controlled, it could have been caused by in-
security about one's self. Some of the variables that will
be reviewed is the decision to buy as independent vari-
ables and condence as the dependent variable. Variables to
be measured questionnaires buying decision based on two-
dimensional aspects of purchasing decisions by Assael. Con-
dence in the measurement of the characteristics of self-
condence (Lauster 1997) that believe in his own ability,
to act independently in making decisions, having a posi-
tive self-concept, dare to express opinions. Collecting data
in this study were obtained from a method of question-
naires. Type of scale used for both variables were Likert
scale, this scale there are two types of items, namely fa-
vorable items (items that support) and unfavorable items
(items that are not supported). In this study, researchers
used the construct validity and correlation technique Karl
Pearson product moment. In this study, researchers used
a single measurement approach (single trial), with consis-
tency.Teknik internal reliability estimates, researchers using
coecient alpha, or the so-called alpha cronbach, with em-
phasis on the consistency between the questions. Testing
the hypothesis in this study using a test of Karl Pearson
product moment correlation. Testing was conducted using
SPSS ver assistance program. 16.0 for windows.
