The ANALYSIS of Continuation of the Weld of PROPELLER SHAFT TRUCK VEHICLE TYPE X F-SERIES

Abstract


The process of welding propeller Shaft
the type of F-series through twice welding, that is welding
CO2 and welding of the bow of electrode electricity was
wrapped. In welding CO2 was used by welding that was
operated on automatically, in the tension 30 V and the
ow
275 A, the welding wire that was used have material cop-
per and spec his welding wire that is MG 51 T with the
diameter of the welding wire 1,6 mm, time that was needed
for welding CO2 that is 16 seconds. Welding of the bow of
electrode electricity was wrapped used the tension 29 volt
and the
ow 220 A, the electrode kind that was used that
is A WS 7016. In this research, continuation produced by
Propeller Shaft welding experienced the testing to knows
the chemical composition, the macro and micro structure,
the material violence, and the dimension produced by weld-
ing. For all continuation was gotten by three regional parts
of the weld that is: Loga Las, Daerah Terpengaruh Panas
(the HAZ Area) and Induk Metal. The welded area in con-
tinuation of the Propeller Shaft weld in accordance with the
standard of the dimension that was determined, continua-
tion of the part weld yoke-tube and end shaft-tube had the
value of the dimension that almost same, and the dierence
of the dimension between the welding part yoke-tube and
the weld end shaft-tube that is 0,5 mm. Each test object
produced by welded Propeller Shaft continuation that is the
part yoke-tube and end shaft-tube had the dierent value of
the violence the dierence, this was caused resulting from
the cycle thermal welding.
