SELF CONTROL CONTRIBUTION TO THE USE OF FACEBOOK IN CLASS XI IN WI TARUNA ANDIGHA BOGOR high school STUDENTS

Abstract


Facebook social networking site isknown as the most popular teenagers, but can provide avariety of problems in adolescents, especially girls, for ex-ample the case of kidnapping girl through the social net-working site facebook. To minimize this required strongself control in young women themselves, especially in youngwomen who sit in high school. The purpose of this studywas to determine the contribution of self control to use face-book in class XI student at SMA Taruna Andigha Bogor.The research method used in this study using quantitativemethods and hypothesis testing was done by using simpleregression analysis. Subjects in this study were high schoolclass XI student Taruna Andigha Bogor. The data was col-lected using the try out unused methods, using a question-naire technique to measure the scale of self control and useof facebook in class XI student in high school. The scaleused to measure self-control and use of facebook is a Likertscale. In this study obtained 96 questionnaires for analysis.The number of subjects in this study was 96 subjects, whichconsisted of 50 subjects and 46 subjects majoring in sciencemajoring in social studies. On a scale of self control con-tained 54 items and all items are valid moving among 0.397to 0.797 with reliability value of 0.977, whereas the use face-book on a scale of 60 items there are 38 valid items movingamong 0.303 to 0.804 with a reliability value of 0.945. Basedon the results of data analysis, regression coecient values??obtained at 4.933 with a standard signicance of 0.029(p <0.05). This means indicate no signicant contributionof self control to use facebook in class XI student at SMATaruna Andigha Bogor.
