The economiccrisis that hit Indonesia and the Asia began in mid-July1997. After ve years we passed through it, whether thun-dering economic crisis Indonesia has stopped?. Develop-ment in all elds has been started again. Thus, by nakedeyes we see the existing economic improvement in Indone-sia. What about publicly traded company listed on theJSE?. This study is an empirical study that aims to iden-tify and analyze the eciency of publicly traded companylisted on the JSE in the post-crisis monetary and 130 samplecompanies have chosen the authors, where eciency is theperformance proxy nancial ratios that have been selectedby the author. Financial ratios used in this study consistedof indicators: (1) short-term performance (liquidity and op-erations), namely: current ratio and working capital to totalassets, (2) long-term performance (leverage), namely: totalassets to total liabilities, and debt to equity ratio, and (3)consisting of protability: net prot margin and return onassets. Statistical testing in this study using the distribu-tion of Z and with the level signikai 0.05. The results ofthis study was, overall sample indicates the year 2000 to2001 there has been no improvement to the eciency ofpublicly traded companies are listing on the Jakarta StockExchange. But for the years 2001 to 2002 there was anincrease in the eciency of the company, this can be seenfrom the sixth ratio, only the working capital to total assetsand net prot margins did not show signicant dierences,which means no increase in net prots of companies and alsothe company's working capital. While the current ratio, to-tal assets to total liabilities, and return on assets has shownan increase in eciency.
