ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING THE CASH DIVIDEND (CASE STUDY ON CONSUMER GOODS INDUSTRY STOCK EXCHANGE LISTED IN INDONESIA)

Abstract


This
study aims to determine the factors that aect the prof-
itability of the cash dividend is measured by Return on
Assets (ROA) and Return On Equity (ROE), liquidity is
measured by the Current Ratio and Cash Ratio, nancing
is measured by Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR) , and Debt
to Equity Ratio (DER) and earnings can be seen from the
Earning per Share (EPS) partially or simultaneously and
know the results of a cash dividend per share to be received
by the shareholders. The number of samples used in this
study is composed of 7 companies in the consumer goods
industry are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with
the observation period from the year 2003-2007. The sam-
pling method is using purposive sampling. Processing of
data used multiple linear regressions with SPSS program.
The results of this study indicate that the Return On Assets
(ROA), Return On Equity (ROE), Cash Ratio, Debt to As-
sets Ratio (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Earning
per Share (EPS) have a signicant eect on cash dividends
partial while simultaneously Return On Assets (ROA), Re-
turn On Equity (ROE), Current Ratio, Cash Ratio, Debt
to Assets Ratio (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and
Earning per Share (EPS) together signicant eect on the
distribution of cash dividends and cash dividends per share
to be received by the holders every year average is not xed
(
uctuate).
